Action is a screen and camera recorder for Mac. It is built so your recordings stay yours.

01Who we are and what Action does

Action ("the app") is developed by Vyakran Objects Design Pvt. Ltd. ("VOD," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains how Action handles your information and applies to the Action app for Mac.

Action records your screen, your camera, or both, with an optional teleprompter, live captions, cursor effects, and background music. Everything runs locally on your Mac. The app works without an account and without signing in.

02Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. Specifically, Action does not:

• Create or require an account.
• Include analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
• Contain advertising or advertising identifiers.
• Track you across other apps or websites.
• Upload your recordings, audio, or video anywhere.

03Where your recordings live

Recordings are written directly to a folder on your Mac that you choose in Settings. They never leave your device through Action. Deleting a recording in the app, or in Finder, removes it permanently. You are in control of where your files are stored, backed up, and shared.

04Permissions and how they are used

macOS asks your permission before Action can use the following. Each is used only for the feature it enables, and only while you are recording. You can change any of these at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

05Speech recognition

When you turn on captions or the voice-following teleprompter, Action uses Apple's speech recognition built into macOS. Recognition runs on your device where your Mac supports it. In some cases macOS may process audio using Apple's services under Apple's own privacy terms. Action does not receive, store, or transmit this audio, and the resulting transcript stays on your Mac.

06Apple Intelligence

Optional features, such as drafting a script or understanding which talking points you have covered, use Apple Intelligence on your device. This processing happens on your Mac. Nothing is sent to us, and the app works without these features on hardware that does not support them.

07Background music

If you add background music, Action downloads royalty-free, CC0-licensed tracks from Freesound. Downloading music is the only network request Action makes on its own. Like any web request, it makes your device's IP address visible to Freesound so the file can be delivered, subject to Freesound's own privacy policy. These requests fetch audio only; they never include your recordings, audio, video, or other personal information.

08Children's privacy

Action is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

09Third parties

Action relies on Apple's operating-system services for capture and speech recognition, and on Freesound for optional background music. It integrates no advertising networks, analytics providers, or other third-party trackers.

10Your choices and rights

Because Action does not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. You stay in control:

• Manage or revoke any permission at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
• Delete recordings yourself in the app or in Finder; this removes them permanently.
• Choose and change where recordings are saved in Settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, or delete personal data, and not to be treated differently for exercising them. Since we hold no such data, there is nothing for these requests to act on. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us and we will respond.

11Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above. Material changes will be reflected in a future app update.
