Action requires macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. On-device AI script drafting needs a supported Mac; the rest of Action, including the teleprompter and captions, works fully without it.
No. Recordings are saved to a folder you choose on your Mac, and Action has no account, analytics, or advertising trackers. Turning on captions or voice-following sends only your microphone audio to Apple's on-device speech recognition to power that feature.
It listens on-device and moves through your script, or checks off talking points, as you naturally say them. There is no cloud round-trip, so it keeps up with the way you actually talk.
Action Pro does not include a free trial. The Free plan is fully functional for 1080p, 30 fps recording, so you can use Action for real work before deciding whether to subscribe.
Yes. Action Pro is billed at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year through your Apple Account, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel it any time from your Apple Account's Subscriptions settings.
